There are many different types of therapeutic massage. Listed below are the most widely used ones.

Light to medium pressure is used, best for relaxation purposes
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue is a medium to firm massage most appreciated by those with muscular aches and pains.
Gentle but firm manipulative pressure and stretching movements coax away tension from the connective tissue.
It increases your energy levels and creates greater flexibility by removing adhesions caused by over-use or trauma. Equally effective for sports injuries or over-use in the garden.
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage is a light and gentle massage that encourages the drainage of fluid and toxins through the lymphatic vessels.
This can be useful during detoxification, after removal of lymph nodes and can aid weight loss as well.
Cross Fibre (similar to Bowen Therapy)
Cross Fibre is a gentle remedial body technique done without oil. Comprising of small gentle moves, there is just a light cross-fibre manoeuvering of a muscle, tendon or ligament.
Highly relaxing, it relieves muscle tension and assists with structural realignment – very beneficial in conjunction with chiropractic treatments (after adjustment). It is suitable during pregnancy; often alleviating the related lower back pain and assisting with child birth. A technique which is so very gentle is suited for the elderly.
